Spring has sprung, sort of.

The daffodils on the hillside are finally showing their beautiful yellow faces, but the snow hasn't melted from the mountains yet. It didn't stop the Lair family from enjoying some sunshine and taking pictures in the flowers.

Pierce is five months old now, 15 pounds and almost 27 inches long. Where the time has gone I don't know. He is rolling over like a crazy man. He is so impressed with this new found mobility, we can only imagine what he'll do next. Gone are the days of leaving him in one place and expecting him to be there when we turn around.

Pierce caught his first cold this month and being the healthy little guy he is it only lasted a few days. He loves playing peek-a-boo and being entertained by Kevin. Pierce has also found a friend in Peggy, our dog. He smiles and laughs every time she comes near. He is now eating "solid foods," bananas, cereal and carrots for now. He really enjoys eating and tries very hard to feed himself, which can be very messy at times. It won't be long and he will be sitting up by himself. He can do it for a little while if he is set-up just right but when he realizes no one is hanging onto him he gets so excited he tips over. All in due time little one.
