We celebrated an early Christmas in Roseburg. Before we even left Pierce had already unpacked his suitecase four times. Such a big helper. It was Pierce's first long trip in his new carseat and facing forward. He did great, it made such a difference to have him facing toward us. Peggy the dog also helped to keep him company. We made it to Roseburg just in time to watch the UO vs. OSU game, then went up to Eugene the next day and visited Pierce's Great Grandma Jean. She enjoyed her time with us and it was quite nostalgic for me to watch Pierce discover all of the things I spent my whole childhood enjoying. Pierce had fun opening all of his presents, he was the royalty of the day. Then we celebrated Grandma Sam's birthday at the Douglas County Festival of Trees. Pierce got to sit on Santa's lap and meet Frosty the Snowman. I think that might have been his favorite part except for going up and down and up and down the stairs at Grandpa and Grandmas. It was a very special early Christmas for us all.
