Goodbye Summer. Welcome Fall.

Well summer is almost over and so is field season. Pierce and I have done pretty well for ourselves over the past five months. Sure we have had our ups and downs but we are both still standing and we have had some fun too.

In two months Kevin and I will have a celebrated two year old little boy. While he is beginning to fight for his independence, Pierce still likes his special time with his Mommy and Daddy, especially as his two year molars make there way.

So what has Pierce been up to this summer? Well he went camping a handful of times, kayaking, took Kindermusik class and Water Babies class, spent a whole week with his Grandma Sam, went on his first boat ride at Crescent Lake, made some incredible art projects, helped to split and stack wood, and much more.

Pierce is talking up a storm, most recently asking me to tie his shoes, "Tie these please," he said and "More cheese please." It was quite impressive. He also has an incredible understanding of what belongs to who and how to make words possessive and plural. The lines of communication are open and it is so wonderful to hear the words coming pouring out.

Enjoy the random pictures from the summer.
